Veer Bal Diwas
The Prime Minister was speaking at a programme “Veer Bal Diwas” at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the national capital to mark the martyrdom of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh – Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.
On the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh’s birth anniversary this year on January 9, the PM had announced December 26 will be observed as “Veer Bal Diwas”.
Veer Bal Diwas and prime minister modi:
The PM said the day will remind us that age does not matter when it comes to extreme valour and sacri- fice. “Veer Bal Diwas will tell us what is India and what is its identity and every year, Veer Bal Diwas will inspire us to recognise our past and make our future. This will also remind everyone about the strength of our young generation.” The Prime Minister pointed out that the thousand- year-old history of the world was filled with chapters of gruesome cruelty and men- tioned that wherever we come across the violent faces of cruelty, it is the character of our heroes that outshines them throughout the pages of history.
The PM said that what happened in the wars of Chamkaur and Sirhind can never be forgotten, and said these incidents occurred only three centuries ago on the soil of this land.
“On one hand there was the mighty Mughal Sultanate blinded by reli- gious fanaticism, while on the other hand there were our gurus gleaming in the knowledge and living by the ancient principles of India,” he said.

PM @narendramodi talked today about the cruelty of Aurangzeb to have buried Zorawar Singh Sahib and Fateh Singh Sahib alive because they refused to convert to Islam.
Why is there still a Delhi road named after Aurangzeb barely a hundred meters from the PM residence? RENAME IT.

Guru Teg Bahadur ji’s head in the hands of a 9 year old when publicly executed by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb for refusing to convert to Islam. Hinduism has kept alive even in critical conditions as this when the Mughals were slaughtering Hindus also. This is a pure example.

If I am a proud Indian, why are my heroes Alauddin Khilji, Babar, Sikandar Miri, Tipu Sultan, and Aurangzeb? Why aren’t my heroes Azizul Haque, Abdus Salam, Salim Ali, Obaid Siddiqi, and APJ Abdul Kalam?

No streets are named after Hitler in Germany, they got rid of them in 1941.
Aurangzeb was worse.
Why does India have a prominent street named after a mass murderer, mass converter, destroyer of temples, and the assassin of Sikh gurus, Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in New Delhi?

Facts on the ground and historical records are not disputed. Aurangzeb destroyed Krishna Janmabhoomi temple and replaced it with a mosque. Even his brother Prince Dara Shikoh had worshipped there. Removing such acts of intolerance is restoration of democracy, culture and history.

- Aurangzeb and Shree Krishna Mandir :
On Thursday, 27th January/15th Ramzan, the justice- loving Emperor ordered that complainants should not be excluded from the side of the window of darsan: the harem- officers were to draw up their petitions by means of ropes and show them to His Majesty. During this month of Ramzan abounding in miracles, the Emperor as the promoter of justice and overthrower of mischief, as a knower of truth and destroyer of oppression, as the zephyr of the garden of victory and the reviver of the faith of the Prophet, issued orders for the demolition of the temple situated in Mathura, famous as the Dehra of Kesho Rai. In a short time by the great exertions of his officers, the destruction of this strong foundation of infidelity was accomplished, and on its site a lofty mosque was built at the expenditure of a large sum. This temple of folly was built by that gross idiot Birsingh Deo Bundela. Before his accession to the throne, the Emperor Jahangir was displeased with Shaikh Abul Fazl. This infidel became a royal favourite by slaying him, and after Jahangir’s accession was rewarded for this service with the permission to build the temple, which he did at an expense of thirty-three lakhs of rupees.
Praised be the august God of the faith of Islam, that in the auspicious reign of this destroyer of infidelity and turbulence, such a wonderful and seemingly impossible work was successfully accomplished. On seeing this instance of the strength of the Emperor’s faith and the grandeur of his devotion to God, the proud Rajas were stifled, and in amazement they stood like images facing the wall. The idols, large and small, set with costly jewels, which had been set up in the temple, were brought to Agra, and buried under the steps of the mosque of the Begam Sahib, in order to be continually trodden upon. The name of Mathura was changed to Islamabad.
