Delhi floods update: Yamuna River water rising again.
The Yamuna water level in Delhi is expected to climb once more in the Old Delhi Yamuna Bridge on Monday night after declining for the previous two days. As “the Central Water Commission estimates that it can reach 206.1 metres overnight,” Delhi cabinet minister Atishi has asked residents to remain in relief camps.
Delhi floods update: Following Monday’s flooding at Mayur Vihar in New Delhi caused by the Yamuna river during monsoon season, residents of low-lying regions moved to a safer location with their possessions.
She asserted that the citizens of Delhi are not in danger, nevertheless.
She claimed that the Yamuna’s water level marginally increased as a result of Sunday’s intense rainfall in various parts of Haryana.

Delhi floods update: The Yamuna water level was higher than the danger mark of 205.33 metres at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, according to the Central Water Commission, at 205.87 metres.
According to the CWC website, the Yamuna water level would climb to 205.83 metres at 7 o’clock and 206.1 metres at 9 o’clock.
“But all the people living in relief camps are requested not to go back to their homes just yet. Go back to your homes only after the water level goes below the danger mark,” Atishi tweeted in Hindi.
Delhi floods update: At noon, Delhi’s Yamuna water level increased to 205.80 metres from 205.58 metres when the sun rose. On Sunday night, the water level was 205.52 metres.
Yamuna’s water level, which last week broke the old record of 207.49 metres and crossed 208 metres on July 12.
The river has been in spate for the past week and swelled to 207.71 metres on Wednesday, breaking its previous record of 207.49 metres established in 1978. After flooding the flood plains, the river inundated several important parts of Delhi.
Delhi floods updates: According to health minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday, all government ministries in Delhi have been directed to continuously monitor the situation in the wake of floods in the nation’s capital.
Conjunctivitis and skin allergies are primarily being reported from relief camps that have been put up in the wake of flooding in various parts of Delhi, the man said reporters while speaking with them during a visit to a government hospital in the city.
