Parumala Perinnal is a temple located in the city of Alappuzha, Kerala, India.
Parumala Perunnal is an annual festival celebrated to commemorate the death anniversary of Bishop Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, the primary glorified saint of the Malankara Orthodox Catholic Church of Kerala.
It is one of the most important and sacred places for Hindus, who believe that it is the place where Lord Ayyappa or Appar was born.
The temple is believed to have been built by Sree Narayana Guru, who founded the Sabarimala Temple in nearby Pathanamthitta district. The deity is believed to have been born here after his marriage with Meenakshi Amma, who later became his consort.
