What to expect during the livestream?
Chandrayaan 3 launched: The Chandrayaan-2 mission, which impacted the lunar surface in September 2019, was replaced by the Chandrayaan-3 mission. Chandrayaan-3 is a lander and rover configuration, similar to its predecessor, that will be propelled into a 100-kilometer lunar orbit by a propulsion module.
Chandrayaan 3 launched: The mission’s main goal is to demonstrate a safe soft landing for the Vikram lander on the moon. If ISRO succeeds, India will join the United States, the former Soviet Union, and China as the fourth nation to successfully complete a soft landing on the Moon. Israel and Japan’s recent private space company-led attempts to make a soft lunar landing have failed, exactly as India’s prior attempt.
