Cabinet Approves Extension of Digital India Project with Outlay Of ₹14,903 Cr
Digital India Project: According to Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, the expansion of the Digital India project, with a budget of Rs 14,903 crore, was agreed by the cabinet on Wednesday.
The work completed under the prior iteration of the programme, according to the minister, will be supplemented by the expanded Digital India project.
In a cabinet meeting, the prime minister authorized the Digital India Project with a budget of Rs 14,903 crore, according to Vaishnaw.
He said that as part of the programme, 2.65 lakh people will receive IT training, and 5.25 lakh IT professionals will receive retraining and upskilling.
Nine additional supercomputers will be added to the National Supercomputing Mission (NCM) as part of the expanded Digital India programme.
According to the minister, NCM has already installed 18 supercomputers.
