The situation reached a critical juncture when Tel Aviv officially declared a state of war on Sunday, in response to a series of unprecedented large-scale attacks orchestrated by Hamas, a Gaza-based Palestinian militant group. Termed ‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,’ the ongoing conflict has tragically resulted in over 1,100 casualties on both sides, with thousands more suffering injuries and displacement. Concerns are mounting over the fate of more than 130 Israeli and foreign nationals who are feared to have been taken hostage by Hamas.

On a fateful Saturday, Hamas executed a coordinated triple assault on Israel, employing rocket barrages, a successful infiltration into southern towns, and the dispatch of armed operatives through unconventional routes. In retaliation, Israel launched a massive airstrike operation, claiming to have incapacitated approximately 400 militants. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to significantly weaken the group, emphasizing his determination to reduce them to “ruins.”

As the conflict entered its second day, the Lebanese militant organization Hezbollah also entered the fray, launching rocket strikes against Israel in the northern region. Their stated motivation was “solidarity” with the Palestinian cause, further complicating an already volatile situation in the region.

India, a significant oil importer, is closely monitoring the Israel-Palestine conflict in the Middle East. This conflict has led to a more than $3 increase in oil prices per barrel. The escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas has introduced instability in the Middle East, causing concerns about oil availability.

Hardeep Singh Puri, India’s Oil Minister, addressed this matter during an industry event in New Delhi. He emphasized the vital role the Middle East plays in the global energy landscape and stressed India’s commitment to adapt to the challenges arising from the conflict.

Puri also highlighted the potential for such situations to encourage the adoption of cleaner and sustainable energy sources. He underlined the unsustainability of crude oil prices reaching $100 per barrel and emphasized the necessity to transition to greener energy sources.

In summary, India is vigilantly monitoring the impact of the Middle East conflict on global energy markets. They recognize the need to adapt and transition towards cleaner energy sources in response to rising oil prices and geopolitical uncertainties.

#IsraelPalestineWar

a brief history of war

The Israel-Palestine conflict is a very old argument about history, religion, and land. It started a long time ago, in the late 1800s when a group called Zionists wanted a new home for Jewish people in created historic place called Palestine. Back then, it was ruled by the Ottoman Empire. After World War I, the League of Nations said that Britain should be in charge of Palestine.

More Jewish people came to live there, and this made problems with the Arab people who already lived there. In 1947, the United Nations had an idea to divide Palestine into two parts: one for Jewish people and one for Arab people, with Jerusalem in the middle as a special city. The Jewish people liked this idea, but the Arab countries didn’t, and this caused fighting.

In 1948, Israel became a country, and this led to a big war between Israel and Arab countries. Many Arab people had to leave their homes, and this created a big problem called the Palestinian refugee crisis. The conflict has seen many wars, protests, talks for peace, and more fighting.

There are still big problems like where the borders should be, who gets to control Jerusalem if there should be a Palestinian country, and if Arab people who left can come back. Many times, people try to make peace, but it’s not easy. The Israel-Palestine conflict is a hard and deep problem with lots of history, religion, and politics, and it’s important in the Middle East and around the world.
