Rajya Sabha News: The Delhi Administration Bill was introduced in the Rajya Sabha today by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
During the bill’s discussion, opposition MPs from various parties, including the Congress, voiced their disapproval. The Rajya Sabha engaged in spirited discussion on this.
The Delhi government was the target of an ordinance introduced by the Central government. The Union Cabinet gave its approval to the ordinance during its meeting last month.

Rajya Sabha News: Union Home Minister Amit Shah proposed the legislation in the Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha then approved the ordinance with a voice vote. Typically, opposition parties abstained.
On August 7, Amit Shah presented the Delhi Administration Bill to the Rajya Sabha. MPs from several parties, including the Congress, voiced their opposition to the bill during debate.

Congress MP Abhishek Singhvi said:

Rajya Sabha News: I will soon prove that this Bill is completely undemocratic.
The bill is totally unconstitutional. It violates all the principles of federalism and all acts of democracy. This is what he said.

BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “Delhi is the only national capital in the world where the Centre has less power than the state government and I support the Centre’s ordinance. This is what he said support.

Raghav, an Aap Rajya Sabha member, claimed that the Delhi administration bill rendered the state government incompetent administratively. How would the bill also grant the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi authority over the transfers of public employees? The arrest of former AAP ministers has hurt the regime. He said this, to be exact.
